t.l.m.

As I mentioned previously, I want to take the time out every week to broadcast extraordinary women and their accomplishments. I believe that women who uplift other women will become better women themselves. If you have any suggestions of a woman you want to broadcast please feel free to let me know! πŸ™‚

“Hey Keshia Vann!”

“Have a Marvelous Monday!”

“I think that is a dynamic idea!”

These are all coined phrases I have grown to associate with my beautiful, outgoing, enthusiastic, Aunt Tamara. This is a woman who always has such a bright and uplifting spirit that it’s very close to impossible to stay upset or “down in the dumps”. When I say I will call her DEPRESSED (I use that term loosely…don’t try totlm1 have me committed) and she will just keep talking positivity into my spirit until I’m laughing! I am a very extra person (some of you may know that), and it’s so awesome to talk to someone who is just as full of life and extra as I am! πŸ™‚ I remember the first time I spoke with Tamara on the phone, when we were hanging up she said “Have a Marvelous Monday!” I remember thinking to myself…does she say something like that everyday?? So I chose to call her on a different day of the week…a Thursday. Again, when we hung up she said “Have a Thrilling Thursday!” I thought to myself…you’ve got to me kidding me! lol Next time I talked to her I made the point not to call on a Monday or Thursday…I chose Saturday. As we were hanging up she says “Have a Satisfying Saturday!” It was at that point that I realized this woman is way too encouraging for no reason at all! I truly believe that she is a gift to the world. She has the ability to make you feel like you can do anything you want! Tell her you want to be a peacock, and she will give you all the tools you need to be the most colorful, graceful, nonflying peacock out there! I could go on and on, but I wanted to share some of the thoughts from tlm2those closest to her.

“Dynamic motivational speaker, adjunct professor and life coach who is committed to empowering individuals to find their life’s passion. A woman to watch in 2016…”

-Tonya Vann, sister

“Oldest of three siblings. Bachelors degree in Political Science, Masters degree in Student Personnel Administration, and currently working on a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Creative Studies. She teaches leadership classes at Buffalo State. She’s the Associate Director of Student Life. She’s a single mother, divorced, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated.”

-Taschel McMillan, sister

tlm4

“She is an amazing motivator. Her smile brightens up the room every time she walks in! She is very passionate and inspirational to everyone she talks to! She embraces her gift from God! You get the best of both worlds from her: a mommy perspective and a teacher/motivator perspective. She is my hero because she chased her dreams at any cost and she won’t let anyone stop her from becoming who she wants and she has made me the woman I am.”

-Jontay Walton, daughter

  1. Keshia Mae,
To say I am floored and humbled would be an understatement! I thank you for your time, effort and energy in sharing us with the world and your followers on social media. With Bold, Brave and Brilliant women like you, Tonya, Taschel and Jontay how could I not be MEE?

As women we have to embrace polishing one another’s crown instead of competing with each other. As everyone brings their own magic to the show.

With all that I am…I Love you!
